What time will the DJ arrive at the event?
At least an hour before the event is due to start.
What music will be played before the dance?
Easy listening background music while quests are arriving and instrumental music during the meal.
What does the DJ need at the venue?
A table with a tablecloth to hide all the cabling and two chairs. Cabling and adaptors are provided by the DJ.
Can requests be made?
Yes, this is what makes an event successful, playing the music that wants to be heard.
Can I give the DJ a CD with music as a request?
Yes, this can be given to the DJ on the evening of the event. The songs that you want played, must be marked.
What is provided by the DJ?
All sound equipment, cabling, adapters, lights and a microphone.
How much deposit is payable?
Deposit is R800. This confirms the booking.
When is the outstanding balance payable?
Preferably before the event. This will eliminate the burden of walking around with cash.
Does the DJ play after 00:00?
If the venue allows. This will be at R300 an hour for every hour after 00:00.
If a band is also playing at the event, do you allow them to use your equipment?
No, the equipment differs too much and can damage it.
Can I meet with the DJ before my event?
Yes, and this is recommended, as this gives both parties the opportunity to ask questions and discuss the music needs for the event.
